Yep this set contains the link between the harsher ska prior and reggae later following the hot jamaican summer of 1967. The variety of syles is amazing instrumental and vocal including gem after gem of sublime lovely rockin and educationallly interesting tunes from the. Volumes 1 and 2 of the four vinyl albums focus squarely on the best sellers from the early days of trojan reggae unashamedly commercial with some classics. An outstanding collection of rocksteady tunes here just as with the other set.

Vol 4 is back to the more commercial sound again a more mixed bag. Shop vinyl and cds and complete your collection. Vol 3 includes rarer tracks mostly excellent. To be honest i think i prefer rocksteady to the later reggae that followed having listened to this and various other excellent trojan box sets it s much more honest and well crafted.
